Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has overtaken NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia in a poll asking party delegates who should lead the National Democratic Congress into the 2028 presidential election.
The Global InfoAnalytics figures put Dr Ato Forson on 32%, up from 22% in July. Mr Asiedu Nketia is on 23%, down from 27%, leaving a nine-percentage-point gap between them in the latest survey.
But 28% of respondents did not commit to any of the named contenders, making them the second-largest group in the results supplied. That figure was 30% in July.
The figures were shared on Facebook on Monday, September 14, by Global InfoAnalytics executive director Mussa Dankwah. According to him, the September survey questioned 3,615 NDC delegates between 11 and 13 September 2026. He reported a 99% confidence level and a margin of error of ±2.17 percentage points.
Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu placed next among the named figures on 5%, down from 6% in July. Vice-President Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and Chief of Staff Julius Debrah each recorded 4%, down from 7% and 5% respectively.
Prof Joshua Alabi rose from 1% to 2%, while Food and Agriculture Minister Eric Opoku remained on 1%.
