GES invites non-teaching staff to apply for 2026 promotions
Serving staff in accounting, internal audit, administration, catering and technical roles are among those invited to apply, but the supplied pages do not show the full eligibility rules.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has invited qualified serving non-teaching staff to apply for promotion to upper grades in 2026.
A notice dated September 11 lists opportunities in accounting, internal audit, administration, catering and technical services. It says applications must be completed online and include a recent passport-sized photograph.
The grades shown include chief, deputy chief and principal accountant; chief, deputy chief and principal internal auditor; and equivalent senior administrative roles. The notice also lists chief, deputy chief and principal domestic bursar positions, as well as chief technical officer.
For applicants seeking to use a master’s or PhD qualification, the visible section of the notice says the certificate must not have been obtained before their previous promotion and must have been obtained in or before 2023.
The invitation is for serving non-teaching staff. It is an application process for
consideration for promotion, not an announcement that everyone who applies will be promoted.
GES provides an online application link and a QR code in the notice. However, the supplied images do not show the full document: the eligibility section begins mid-list, and the instructions on documents to upload are cut off. An application deadline is also not visible.
Staff considering an application should consult the complete GES notice for the requirements applying to their grade before submitting it.
