One dead, others injured in accident on the Kasoa–Winneba Road

The Ghana National Fire Service responded to a head-on collision involving a water tanker and a Toyota Voxy at Tipper Junction along the Kasoa–Winneba Road.
This happened on Saturday, 15th August 2026.
According to the fire service, firefighters from the Buduburam Fire Station rescued eight injured people and conveyed them to the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa for treatment.
"Unfortunately, one person later died," a statement by the fire service said.
The Toyota Voxy sustained extensive damage to its engine compartment, while the water tanker was partially damaged.
"The cause of the accident is under investigation," the statement added.
