    Speaker summons Parliament to sit on 29 September

    Speaker Alban Bagbin has summoned Ghana’s Parliament to sit on Tuesday, September 292026, at 12 noon.

    The sitting will take place at Parliament House in Accra, according to a notice signed by the Speaker and dated September 24.

    The notice cites Article 112(3) of the 1992 Constitution and Order 53 of Parliament’s Standing Orders as the basis for the summons. It does not give a reason for the sitting or identify the business MPs will consider.

    Further details of the agenda have yet to be established from the notice. Those details will determine which issues come before the House when it meets on Tuesday.
