Two suspected robbers have been shot dead and another arrested after police foiled an attempted robbery at a bank in Labone, Accra.
The incident happened on Thursday, 13 August, at a branch of GCB Bank, according to the Ghana Police Service.
Police officers responded to the reported robbery attempt and intervened before the suspects could complete the operation.
Two of the suspects were shot during the intervention and later died.
A third suspect was arrested and is being held in police custody, police said.
The Police Service said investigations were continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine whether other people were involved.
The identities of the suspects and further details about how the attempted robbery unfolded have not been disclosed.
