Southshore University marks 10th graduation with focus on leadership in AI era
Southshore University College, formerly Dominion University College, is set to hold its 10th graduation ceremony on June 27, marking decades of higher education and institutional growth.
The ceremony will take place at the Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra and is expected to bring together graduates, faculty members, families and invited guests.
Held under the theme, "Character, Courage, and Competence: A Purposeful Path Through the AI Revolution", the event will focus on the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence and the skills required to navigate a rapidly changing world.
University officials say the theme reflects the institution's commitment to combining academic excellence with ethical leadership, resilience and professional competence.
The ceremony will celebrate students who have successfully completed programmes across a range of disciplines, while also providing an opportunity for the university to reflect on its achievements over the past decade.
As part of the event, the guest speaker of the ceremony will be professor Bill Buenar Puplampu, an organisational behaviour specialist and former Vice-Chancellor of Central University.
Professor Puplampu has held several senior academic leadership positions, including Pro Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Business School at Central University.
